White House

Week 9 A great photo challenge from Karin Jurick. For this weeks painting, I ventured into the unknown and tried water mixable oils. What a difference from working with acrylics. The blending and redos seem a lot easier (because you can wipe, scrape or brush away the bad paint) and the subtleties seem more natural. Could be hooked here.

  2. Your painting of the US Capitol glows and reminds me a little of Guy Wiggins-one of the America's best! I have to finish two other paintings and may have to skip this weeks challenge assignment.
The blending effect you've achieved is wonderful! Just thought I'd let you know this is not actually the "White House"- Easy mistake for a Canadian to make.
