Fresh Harvest

Well I just got this finished under the bell...I"d hate to miss a challenge, but getting to these challenges is sometimes becoming a challenge in itself. I have to apologize for the lackluster performance on commenting on some of the great submissions. This week's contributions to DSFDF were again, fabulous.

  5. Now THAT is an onion! Wonderful comp, too.

I have a hard time getting to the DSFDFs challenges, too. But it's just about the only painting I'm doing these days, so I keep pushing myself to find the time.

  8. Vern, Great job as always. Love the expressive brush strokes on the onion. They look so simple, but really define the object.

  11. One of the things I like about this painting is that you captured the differences in the textures and surfaces of each vegetable. Nicely executed.

  16. Hi Vern! Nice job on the GA vegetation and your figure studies from an extreme perspective! I'm actually relieved to hear I am not the only one guilty of falling behind on making my rounds (apologies)! I am solely/totally guilty for missing the last 4 or 5 challenges however- something I hope to jump back into. See you around soon! ~T
