This cute little critter is looking for a home and this painting will go to the D'Arcy Animal Rescue Center to help raise some funds. The shelter has a large number of cats at the moment, so hopefully some will find new homes soon.

Wow! Vern this is so awesome! The ignored the fact that white cats are so challenging to paint and rendered this tender and beautiful painting of a tentative looking cat. You also painting a relatively complicated pose with her balancing on that beam on a smaller canvas. Love it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the "white on white" and also really like the intense look of the cat. You've captured the strong intention of this kitty sneaking up on something beautifully.
ReplyDeleteGreat cause and beautiful set of paws! :) Wonderfully job on this!

ReplyDeleteThis is great! So many cat poses have been done before by artists. This one is unique. Plus, the white on white is not only easy on the eyes, but it also fits nicely with the current decorating trends.
ReplyDeleteI really like the way you captured that tentative crawl mood and the expression on the cat's face -- that it is treading carefully. I think a lot of people can relate to that feeling lately! Beautifully done.
