I like the cool background you employed for the husky- I love the painterly approach! Side note: Given your address and the time of year... do you follow hockey Mr. Schwarz??? :>)
daredevilVern I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH YOUR ART WORK AND ENJOYED YOUR SAMPLES ON YOUR SPOT. Dodgie Dator from McGrath Diamonds says you are great as well. It realy is a challenge the way your group creates in only 1 week. Keep up the creativity and thanks for letting me see your work! - Dave Howell
Your animal paintings are fabulous and so is the cause. I have the best intentions but I have yet to go to my local animal shelter...and we certainly have a few. It is a great way for each of us to make a difference. Nice job.
These dog portraits are beautiful, so painterly and filled with emotion. Everything is just spot-on, color selection, loose brushstrokes in all the right places, love the orange peeking out from the cool blue background. I'm with Sheila, *sigh*.
Thanks Paula, I did these portraits off the shelter's own site. I'm going down there at the of the week or when the paint is dry. I'll snap some of my own shots then.
Thanks very much Debbie and Angela. Really appreciate your comments.
Vern, you've really got something with these dog paintings - what a great thing to do! This dog, in particular, is so plush and appealing - you really nailed the expression.
Veern, I have been away from the blog pages too long. All of these paintings are fantastic!!! What a great idea to donate paintings to the animal shelters. I think I will follow suit.
Okay, Vern, I see that when you emailed me, you were being modest about your painting abilities... You rascal! This is AWESOME and I want to hug this dog right now.
I've been sitting here studying the way you painted Rocky's eyes. *sigh* You're amazing Vern in so many ways!
ReplyDeleteSheila you are way too kind. Thanks so much. You and Carrie are taking the time to put this all together, and it is my pleasure to help out if I can.
